Our Team

Ryan Everson
Executive Director and Composer
My name is Ryan Everson, and I’m a seminarian for the Diocese of Phoenix. I spent my teenage and early college years training to become a professional French horn player, and it was this journey that brought me to Arizona State University in 2015. After walking away from that career path and entering seminary, I am so grateful to have classical music as a part of my regular life again through the ministry of Angelico Sacred Music!

Elizabeth Borlongan
Compositional Advisor
I received my bachelors in Piano Performance from Arizona State University studying under Professor Robert Hamilton, and I now work as a piano teacher. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages and skill levels, and, currently, have a studio of over 35 students … I’m thrilled to be on the Angelico Sacred Music team as a music advisor and look forward to seeing the music grow in its listeners.

Mary Scherber
Compositional Advisor
Hello, Angelico Sacred Music friends! My name is Mary Scherber, and I am one of ASM's Compositional Advisors. I received my Bachelor of Science in Music from the University of Mary this past April of 2024, and since then have launched my career in sacred music. I am currently the Director of Music at St. Jude of the Lake Catholic Church in Mahtomedi, MN, just north of the Twin Cities.

Zabinia Kossler
Director of Partnerships
I am so honored to be part of the Angelico Sacred Music team. Although I don’t have much musical talent or experience, I am passionate about beauty and the vital role it plays in transforming the world. My honors thesis at ASU explored the idea of beauty as a catalyst for change in our political society. Angelico Sacred Music is a perfect way to help bring our nation to Christ through the beauty of music.

Grace Hayward
Senior Cardinal Newman Fellow
I am currently a junior at Thomas Aquinas College, studying the Great Books and enjoying a beautiful campus and wonderful friends. Listening to my college’s choir sing the great Polyphony and Gregorian Chant of the past leads me to a greater love for God and for the Church. I am excited to help ASM create 21st Century American Sacred Music to add to the Church’s great wealth of beauty!

Mary Schmitz

Hello! My name is Mary Schmitz. I am from St. Paul, MN and am currently attending the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND for my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I encountered Angelico Sacred Music when my choir had the privilege of working with Ryan Everson on Angelico's first premiere, Our Father.
