Thank you, Catholic University of America!

As we enter the month of May, spring has sprung, and so have our projects here at ASM!

May 1 marked another big step forward in this first year of our ministry. We had a beautiful premiere of The Act of Contrition with The Catholic University of America Chamber Choir at the university’s Spring Choir Concert last night. The students sang wonderfully, and one student in the choir shared that it was perhaps his favorite piece that the ensemble performed this semester.

In addition to a successful premiere, we also had a wonderful studio recording session on Wednesday afternoon at St. Vincent Chapel on CUA’s campus. We are so grateful for this opportunity to do both a studio recording and a public concert premiere of an ASM composition within two days.

To provide you the very best encounter with The Act of Contrition, we will be waiting to share video and audio until after post-production is finished, and the finalized recording is ready for Spotify and Apple Music later this spring.

Keep an eye on your inboxes, and in the meantime, we encourage you to view some photos from this wonderful collaboration on our website.

Additionally, Ryan was able to make a short pilgrimage stop at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception next door to CUA. He’ll share more details about the moving moments of this trip in our Quarter 2 edition of The Palestrina Post!

Thank you so much for your prayers, donations, and support that made this collaboration possible, and please pray for our friends in The Catholic University of America Chamber Choir!
