Elizabeth Borlongan, Compositional Advisor
I received my bachelors in Piano Performance from Arizona State University studying under Professor Robert Hamilton, and now work as a piano teacher. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages and skill levels, and, currently, have a studio of over 35 students. Teaching piano is my passion because it is so incredibly rewarding to witness my students’ growth and excitement as they develop their skills and passion for music.
Growing up, I participated in my all my school choirs and furthered my vocal training with private lessons during my time in the music school at ASU. I also studied organ for a few years under various instructors including Dr. Kimberly Marshall. Learning the organ and voice have been valuable skills that I hope to further and utilize more in the future.
In addition to teaching, I have experience as a piano accompanist, having worked with junior high choirs and churches. And I continue to be a substitute accompanist for Masses in my area as needed. I’m thrilled to be on the Angelico Sacred Music team as a music advisor and look forward to seeing the music grow in its listeners. My husband and I live in Chandler, AZ, and have two cats who bring much joy and entertainment to our lives.
